China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce & Animal By-Products (CFNA) will host the 4th China International Cashmere Forum in early November of 2009.
China, home of cashmere and the largest producer and exporter of cashmere and its products, boasts abundant cashmere resource in the world. As a result of the economic boom and improvement of people’s living standard, China has turned into a large market of cashmere as well.
Up to now, the economic downturn, originated from the sub-prime crises of the U.S., has not hit the bottom yet. The global economy is still not cheerful. The Chinese cashmere industry has just started a new phase of development focused on brand, quality, fashion and innovation, when it confronted the global economic tsunami. As a result, the rapid development of economy over the last 10 years turned into a slow growth or even negative growth. At the same time, the problems faced in development, such as severe homogenization of cashmere products, quality degradation, etc. are still puzzling the cashmere industry, urgently waiting for joint exploration, consultation and response made by the industry circle.
The forum with the subject “Brand, Quality, Fashion & Innovation” will probe the current hot topic and focal point in the industry of common concerns: inviting experts to decode the present economic trend and its effect on the cashmere industry; to analyze the present cashmere production & industry development state; to analyze the Chinese cashmere product market & cashmere brand creation; to explain the fashion element of cashmere and the fashionable trend and style of cashmere products; and to hold the quality and its testing level of Chinese cashmere.
